How to Make The Utmost of Ramadan

It’s an important part of the Muslim faith, as it’s a special time for spiritual reflection and drawing  near to Allah. The month of Ramadan offers Muslims a unique  occasion to  concentrate on their faith,  rue from their sins, seek  remission from God and draw  near to Him. Then are some tips on how to make the  utmost of this holy month

 1- Tarawih Prayer during Ramadan

 Tarawih Prayers during Ramadan( after Isha Prayer) is one of the blessing of Ramadan and is of great  significance. Although Tarawih Prayer is Sunnah(  voluntary) and not an Obligation( Fardh) for a religionist, but due to its significance and  price, we should try to offer this prayer, in congregation, during the whole month of Ramadan.

 Prophet(S.A.W.) said-

  “ Whoever prays Qiyaam( Taraweeh Prayer) with the imam until he finishes, it'll be recorded as if he spent the whole night in prayer. ”

(Tirmidhi 806)

  2- Increase your prayer life

Prayer is the backbone of Islam and during Ramadan, Muslims should try to increase their prayer life by offering  redundant  voluntary prayers known as Nawafil. These prayers are offered either alone or in congregation and can be offered any time throughout the day or night.

3- Read and recite Quran

 Reading the Quran during Ramadan is a  important spiritual experience as it reminds us of the blessings of Allah and encourages us to remain on the right path. Reading and reciting the Quran helps to purify the soul, strengthen our faith and develop a  near relationship with Allah.

 Narrated Uthman:
Prophet Muḥammad( Ṣ) said;

“The Best Among (Muslims) You are Those who learn Quraan and Teach it’’

( Sahih Al- Bukhari:545 )

4- Observe Itikaf

 According to Hadith recited by Abdullah bin Umar(R.A.) that

“ Allah's Messenger(S.A.W.) used to exercise I'tikaf in the last ten days of the month of Ramadan. ”

( Sahih Bukhari 2025

 5- Find Night of Power, Laylat al- Qadr

Laylat al- Qadris is one of the odd nights of last 10 days of Ramadan and this night is better than a thousand months and worshiping on this night is better than eighty- three times of  deification.

Prophet Muḥammad( Ṣ) said;

‘’Search for the night of Qadar in the odd nights of last ten days of Ramadan’’

(sahih bukhari ;2017)

6- Do charity work

  Charity is  largely encouraged during Ramadan, as Muslims are encouraged to give  freehandedly of their time and  plutocrat to those in need. This could involve giving out food or clothes to people who are less fortunate, or volunteering at original charities.

 recited Ibn’ Umar  I heard Allah’s Apostle(p.b.u.h) while he was on the riser speaking about charity, to hesitate from asking others for some  fiscal help and about  soliciting others.

Prophet Muḥammad( Ṣ) said;

‘’The best charity is that which is practiced by a wealthy person. And start giving first to your dependants’’

(Sahih Bukhari;507)
